Since being elected as the chief of police for the City of Carencro Police Department in 2003, Chief Stout has been committed to keeping Carencro’s neighborhoods, schools, and streets safe from drugs and drug related crimes. We have formed partnerships with the Lafayette Housing Authority, the School Board and surrounding police agencies in a joint effort to combat the drug problem that has been threatening our youth.

We have adopted the philosophy of compassion for the individual who is honestly seeking assistance with a chemical dependency and a “ZERO TOLERANCE” attitude for the individuals who are responsible for trafficking the drugs into our community.
